Wednesday, September 9, 2009 - At 2130 hours, a house fire assignment was dispatched for the 2100 block of Marshall Hall Road. Bryans Road Volunteers responded with Engine 112, Rescue Engine 113, Truck 11, Tanker 11, Engine 115, Utility 11, Car 11 and Chief 11A. As Engine 112 was arriving on the scene, Charles County Communications advised of the possibility of one subject trapped. Engine 112 arrived on the scene to find a single story house with heavy fire in quadrants C and D. First arriving units performed an aggressive search as an interior attack was underway. The primary search revealed one subject deceased in the home. One firefighter from Engine 112 was transported to Washington Hospital Center Burn Unit with burns to the ears and neck. Units operated until 0030 hours.
